Bruce Lawes - Featured Artist of the Month Bruce Lawes is a young gifted Canadian artist whose versatility in his subject matter allows him to easily adapt to the task at hand. Although he enjoys variety in his subject matter, wildlife themes have remained his favourite since childhood. |

As a former student of the Ontario College of Art, Bruce's creative talents have been honed by personal encounters with fellow artists such as Robert Bateman, and American ocean artist Wyland. He has worked with wild cats in educational seminars for young children and he maintains a friendship with a prominent breeder and master falconer of birds of prey. He also has been trained in taxidermy. He has done many personal and corporate commissions over the years yet in order to give meaning to his work, Bruce often paints with an end goal in mind. Bruce continues to refine his natural talents while directing his images towards the representation of a greater purpose, seeking out worthy programs that will generate public awareness and solid corporate participation.
